Connect Daylog to ChatGPT
Create a private developer-mode app from Daylog’s remote MCP server and use it in ChatGPT conversations.

Enable Developer mode
In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings, choose Security and login, and turn on Developer mode. This exposes full read and write MCP tools, so review approvals carefully.

Create the Daylog app
Open ChatGPT Plugins, select the plus button, and create a developer-mode app. Name it Daylog and enter the remote server URL below.

Use OAuth authentication
Choose OAuth when prompted and finish signing in to Daylog. The draft app appears in your app settings after ChatGPT discovers the tools.

Choose it in a conversation
From the Plus menu, choose Developer mode and enable Daylog. Be explicit for writes: Use the Daylog app to create a task named ‘Send the report’ for Friday tagged work.
verify the connection
Ask ChatGPT to use Daylog’s entry_context tool for today_summary. Confirm the tool label is Daylog before approving it.
security
Daylog tools can create, update, and delete your entries. Connect only from a client you trust, review write approvals, and revoke personal access tokens from the app when a device or configuration is no longer in use.
